FinOps X - Sponge Mode= ON!

There's a buzz in the air, and it's not just the summer weather. I'm thrilled I'll be attending FinOps X conference next week in the USA as a representative of Devoteam. This isn't just any other conference; it's a pivotal event that brings together global experts in the ever-evolving field of cloud financial management.

One of the many things I appreciate about such gatherings is the opportunity to dive deep into a world filled with knowledge, ideas, and new insights. It's a chance to get a pulse on the current trends, understand the challenges faced by various organizations, and explore the solutions they're crafting.

In particular, I'm intrigued to see how different companies are navigating the world of FinOps. Each organization has its unique journey, and learning about these diverse experiences offers invaluable insights. Coupled with this, I'm excited to see how sustainability is beginning to weave its way into this narrative. In a world that's increasingly focused on green practices, understanding the crossroads between FinOps and sustainability is becoming a key focus area. Some sessions will give me some good insights on the topic of GreenOps

As a FinOps architect at Devoteam, my role revolves around creating and refining landmark FinOps services. The goal? To support our clients on their cloud journeys and help them become more efficient, cost-effective, and ultimately, successful. Each bit of knowledge gained, every conversation had, and every perspective explored at the conference will feed into this mission.

I have always believed that learning is a never-ending journey, and this conference is another exciting step on that path. Incan say… it’s the first time I’m attending a conference without knowing what will come and what will be discussed on stage.

It's not just about what I learn from the sessions and the people there, but also about how I can apply these learnings to our work at Devoteam. It's about coming back with ideas that can spark new ideas and innovation, drive efficiencies, and help our clients navigate their unique cloud journeys more effectively and with confidence.

In my career, I've learned that the most powerful knowledge often comes from simply listening and observing. It's about understanding the why behind the what. Why are companies implementing FinOps in a certain way? Why is sustainability becoming a crucial factor in FinOps? These are some of the questions I hope to explore during the conference.

The next week is going to be a whirlwind of learning, networking, and immersing myself in the world of FinOps.

Fire the engines! I’m ready to do this!
